Shop & Scoff
Our Shop & Scoff days feature our famous complimentary, gluten free, home baked cakes with an endless supply of equally complimentary tea & coffee.
We started collecting for Macmillan at these events when some cyclists stopped by. They wanted to pay for their refreshment; we explained that we didn’t charge for our cake and coffee but would be happy to make a donation to charity on their behalf. They gave us £50 - it soon caught on and by the end of the day we had raised a substantial amount for Macmillan! Macmillan is now a feature of Shop and Scoff!

Shop & Scoff Pictures 2013
It was fascinating to watch Edel Hopkin recently demonstrating her skills creating beautiful books at Forge 2. Bringing together ancient skills with contemporary crispness and an East meets West flavour, Edel experiments with a variety of bindings and covers – Coptic with Japanese Chiyogami, traditional marbled papers with contemporary leathers, Chiyogami with traditional leather.
Her range of note books, guest books and photo albums make great presents, maybe even to yourself!
Lovely cakes and good coffee made this a very enjoyable day as usual.
